Youth Development Specialist – Day Reporting (Terre Haute)

Role and Responsibilities

  • Communicate student issues to Day Reporting Program Manager
  • Affiliation with coordination of transportation services for students, as needed
  • Affiliation with daily supervision of program participants during academic enrichment activities, physical and recreational activities, field trip activities, and social emotional development activities
  • Small group facilitation
  • Attendance to Probation/DCS appointments and Court hearings as needed
  • Maintain a positive, nurturing, and uplifting environment for all program participants
  • Affiliation with record keeping, data collection, and student assessments
  • Communication with parents and families of program participants
  • Any other duties as directed by leadership as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 25 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency in experience
  • 3 years demonstrated experience working with youth and families
  • 3 years demonstrated experience in group facilitation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with delivering Trauma Informed Care principles
  • Must pass all DCS required background checks
