What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops for high school students covering subjects like public speaking, concentration, and giving and receiving feedback, followed by evaluating mastery via a structured Test2Pass assessment
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions that leverage Coachbot analytics to engage with individual students, determine where they're encountering difficulty in their learning apps, and help them overcome obstacles
  • Developing personalized motivational approaches with students, including reward systems and incentives that encourage self-directed advancement in their academic applications
  • Examining curriculum and lesson plans prior to each session, then adjusting your approach based on your assessment of student engagement and understanding

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering instruction in academic subjects
  • Overseeing school operations or supervising staff
  • Enforcing discipline through conventional authority

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any subject
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with high school students (ages 13-18)
  • Willing to work in-person in Oklahoma City, OK (relocation assistance available)

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader who has inspired teenagers in non-traditional classroom settings
  • Demonstrated success guiding groups toward quantifiable objectives (completion rates, performance benchmarks, behavior change)
  • Familiarity with adaptive learning platforms or educational technology tools
  • Ability to tell stories that capture and maintain teenage attention, delivered with cultural sensitivity and authenticity

Job Details

  • This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position
  • The position is immediately available
  • The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year
  • The payment period is weekly
