Responsibilities
- Facilitating one-hour life competency workshops for Pre-K through 8th grade students covering public speaking, focus, teamwork, and feedback skills (hands-on, project-oriented approach)
- Conducting daily individual and small-group coaching sessions where you assess each student's adaptive learning app performance (via Coachbot analytics), establish objectives, and challenge them to achieve 100% of weekly targets
- Overseeing and evaluating Test2Pass assessments to verify genuine mastery of each life skill rather than mere participation
- Adjusting your coaching approach across diverse age groups, from Pre-K students requiring high-energy, movement-based engagement to 8th graders needing direct conversation and accountability
- Cultivating authentic connections with each student so they develop sufficient trust to accept your guidance through resistance, lack of focus, and uncertainty
Requirements

- Demonstrated experience motivating or coaching Pre-K through 8th grade students toward academic, behavioral, or extracurricular objectives, with at least one concrete example you can articulate (including the objective, your actions, and the result)
- Regular use of generative AI platforms (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
- Availability to work in-person at Alpha's Central Houston, South Houston, or The Woodlands campus location (relocation assistance available)
- Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Background in youth sports coaching, camp direction, or after-school program management where you held direct responsibility for motivating children toward specific objectives
- History of exceptional personal accomplishment (academic distinctions, competitive athletics, or leadership positions requiring sustained high performance)
- Innate storytelling capability: you can maintain the attention of a room full of 12-year-olds for an hour without increasing volume
- Experience re-engaging disengaged or reluctant students and converting them into active, invested participants
