About the role

The Youth Crisis Center- Medical Technician position focuses on providing direct medical and programmatic nursing care to youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This includes participating in the client’s healthcare education and providing direct oversight to personnel who provide medical care during the admission process and throughout the crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical and programmatic nursing care to youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
• Determine continued eligibility and develop a goal-directed plan of care for any minor medical issues.
• Participate in the client’s healthcare education.
• Provide direct oversight to personnel who provide medical care to clients experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on crisis intervention skills to de-escalate, treat, and stabilize behavioral health needs of individuals.

Requirements

• Licensed in Idaho as EMS/EMT, LPN or RN.
• Pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW.

Schedule

• PRN- Daytime and evening hours.
• PRN stipend for every three shifts covered within a 60-day period.
• Overnight pay differential.

Pay

• $21-$22/hour.
