About the role
The Youth Crisis Center- Medical Technician position focuses on providing direct medical and programmatic nursing care to youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This includes participating in the client’s healthcare education and overseeing medical care provided by other personnel.
Responsibilities
- Focuses on providing direct medical and programmatic nursing care to youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
- Works with clients during the admission process to determine continued eligibility and develop a goal-directed plan of care for any minor medical issues.
- Participates in the client’s healthcare education.
- Provides direct oversight to personnel who provide medical care to clients experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
- Works as part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on crisis intervention skills to de-escalate, treat, and stabilize behavioral health needs of individuals.
Requirements
- Licensed in Idaho as EMS/EMT, LPN, or RN.
- Pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW.
Qualifications
- Ability to pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW.
Skills
- Experience with crisis intervention skills.
- Knowledge of medical and programmatic nursing care.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team setting.

Pay
- $21-$22/hour.
- PRN- Daytime and evening hours.
- PRN stipend for every three shifts covered within a 60-day period.
- Overnight pay differential.
