About The Role

When youth experience a behavioral health crisis, they require focused medical attention, compassionate support, and consistent care. As a Youth Crisis Center Medical Technician, you will provide direct medical and programmatic nursing support to youth admitted to the Community Crisis Center. This includes participating in the admission process, evaluating eligibility, addressing minor medical issues, and helping create a goal-directed plan of care. In this role, you will contribute to healthcare education, collaborate with an interdisciplinary crisis team, and provide oversight to personnel involved in youth medical care. Your work helps stabilize youth in crisis through de-escalation, safety planning, and coordinated treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and nursing support to youth during crisis admission
  • Assess minor medical issues and develop care plans
  • Participate in healthcare education for clients
  • Support crisis intervention and stabilization
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary crisis team
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation
  • Assist with oversight of staff involved in direct medical care

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed in Idaho as EMS/EMT, LPN, or RN
  • Ability to work effectively with youth experiencing behavioral health crises
  • Ability to pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW
  • Mets all mandated health requirements
  • Compliance with drug-free workplace guidelines and agency policies
