About the role
Become a Youth Care Worker at Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia. Join a dedicated team committed to the holistic care and treatment of at-risk youth.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth
- Support the physical, personal, and health needs of each youth through individual counseling and skill development
- Maintain a supportive environment for youth needs
- Monitor and document behaviors and activities
- Assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 6 months experience working with children preferred (paid or volunteer)
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in child development and psychology
Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle crisis situations
- Knowledge of child development and psychology

Pay
$19 to $23 per hour based on education and experience. Earn a $1,000 bonus after successful completion of essential skills training (within 90 days).
Schedule
Work week will be 5 eight-hour shifts including both Saturday and Sunday. Evening Shift: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
