Play a crucial role in providing overnight care and support to adolescents and young adults in a residential setting. This shift is ideal for students or night owls.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise youth during the night hours to ensure their safety and security.
- Conduct regular bed checks and room inspections to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies or behavioral crises that may arise during the night.
- Follow established protocols for de-escalation and crisis management (Crisis Intervention).
- Maintain accurate records of nightly activities, incidents, and observations (Documentation).
- Document any significant changes in the behavior or condition of the youth.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to youth who may be experiencing difficulties or emotional distress (Supportive Care).
- Assist with bedtime routines and ensure a calm and nurturing atmosphere.
- Complete the targeted chore list to help maintain a clean and functional space.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure a seamless transition of care between shifts (Communication).
- Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Implement security measures and protocols to ensure the safety of both youth and staff (Safety and Security).
- Follow all safety and emergency procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a physical & drug screen and background check.
Schedule
- Third shift: 10 PM to 6 AM.
- Monthly rotating schedule of 5 days on and 2 days off, with required on-call shifts.
- Additional $3 premium for scheduled weekends.
Pay
Starting full-time base pay: $16.11 per hour.
