Youth Behavior Coach
About The Role
As a Youth Behavior Coach, you will work directly with children with severe emotional disturbance, providing support and guidance to help them navigate through family changes. Your role includes mentoring youth, teaching coping skills, behavior modification, socialization skills, helping them explore personal and academic goals, and accompanying them to various community activities.
Responsibilities
- Mentor youth and provide behavioral and emotional support
- Teach coping skills, behavior modification, and socialization skills
- Support youth in exploring personal, social, and academic goals
- Transport and accompany youth to community activities
- Collaborate with supervisors and service providers in a structured care model
- Participate in required trainings and supervision sessions
- Maintain professional boundaries and follow agency policies and procedures
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED, or Rehabilitative Services Associate (RSA) eligibility
- Demonstrated skills working with children and/or adults
- Ability to work constructively with clients and service providers
- Willingness and ability to complete a physical and TB (PPD) test within 30 days of hire
- Valid State Driver’s License and active automobile insurance
Compensation & Benefits
- Part-Time Employees: $16.00/hour, 15–30 hours per week, Evening and weekend schedule (Wednesday–Sunday), No on-call requirements
