Yield Support Specialist
About the role
The Yield Support team facilitates daily administrative activities efficiently and professionally within the department and business unit by assisting Data Mining (DM), Coordination of Benefits (COB), Recovery Operations, Revenue Cycle, and Inventory Management Specialists teams. This role supports the greater leadership team to improve business optimizations, meet goals, and deliver exceptional customer expectations both internally and externally. As a Yield Support Specialist, you will work under the direct supervision of the assigned Team Lead to ensure vendor compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
This role acts as a point of contact for the business unit, facilitating responses to general inquiries and data requests from both internal and external customers for basic-level assigned work.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of support and general administrative assignments in support of audits or auditors, including filing, data entry, tracking, and correspondence following established standards and work processes.
- Obtain data files and/or generate reports for audits by identifying appropriate file parameters and extracting data from downloaded or imported files as requested.
- Review client systems and update Cotiviti systems as required.
- Serve as a point of contact to facilitate responses to general inquiries and data requests from internal and external customers.
- Communicate directly with clients or providers following established processes and procedures.
- Provide proofing support on claims submittals to verify totals, verbiage, calculations, or general accuracy prior to client submission.
- Maintain productivity goals and standards set by the department and ensure all department rules and processes are followed.
- Alert managers of system issues or other factors impacting productivity or quality of work.
- Ensure vendor compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements established by the government or client organization.
- Identify sources of information and execute processes to ensure information is disseminated and updated.
- Collaborate with Information Technology departments to develop knowledge-sharing technology products or solutions.
- Execute all functions with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all data, complying with HIPAA laws and requirements.
- Ensure a safe work environment by complying with industry standards and critical operations or client-specific requirements.
- Handle basic issues and problems, referring complex issues to higher-level team members (Senior/Team Lead).
- Adapt quickly to learning and understanding basic elements and concepts of audit operations.
- Integrate and execute new assignments with moderate guidance and direction.
- Gather data, analyze problems, evaluate options, and develop or implement creative solutions to job challenges.
- Make logical, well-reasoned, and timely decisions, seeking guidance as appropriate.
- Demonstrate competency with job tools, including filing systems, computers, word processing, spreadsheet applications, web systems, Cotiviti and client systems, data file structures, and PowerPoint.
- Efficiently download and format common file types.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion using a structured and dependable approach.
- Complete all responsibilities outlined in the annual Performance Plan and special projects or other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- 0–1 years of related experience and/or a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- 1–2+ years of administrative support experience preferred.
- Billing or coding experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and system databases required.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry-based standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in both individual and team environments.
- Ability to create and maintain collaborative partnerships.

Pay
Base compensation ranges from $17.75 to $19.75 per hour. Specific offers are determined by factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
Nonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week, or as otherwise required by applicable state law.
