About the role
You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety for all. This role involves representing Penske and its clients, often driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms.
Responsibilities
- Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
- Couple and uncouple trailers
- Chock trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors
- Shuttle trailers locally
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 3 PM start
- Weekends off

Penske pays every Friday, and most driving positions offer home-daily schedules.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years
- 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Must comply with all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- English language proficiency (required by federal law for this role)
- Must work the required schedule and location
- Must complete Penske employment application, background investigation, and drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see and hear, with specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting required
- Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
- Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
