Yard Team Member - Fort Myers, FL

About the role

At SRM Concrete, we’re looking for a Yard Team Member to help keep our concrete plant clean, safe, and organized. This position offers hands-on work, the chance to build your community, and steady, reliable employment.

Responsibilities

• Keep the yard and plant areas clean and organized by sweeping, shoveling, and performing general clean-up tasks.
• Aid in loading and unloading construction materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Support plant operations by providing manual labor wherever needed—no two days are the same!
• Help with routine maintenance tasks like pressure washing, organizing supplies, and general upkeep.
• Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies, and report shortages to your supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Take on other duties as assigned to help keep the plant running efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and enjoyment of physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Experience as a Yard Team Member, Yard Laborer, Yard Worker, or in construction/landscaping is a plus, but training is provided.
• Basic understanding of construction materials and tools, or willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and company protocols.
• Ready to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Knowledge of construction materials and tools.

Pay

Competitive hourly pay with overtime after 8 hours, plus eligibility for bonuses and annual raises.

Schedule

Home daily schedule with the option to work weekends.
