Yard Operator

About the role

The Yard Operator, under direct supervision, supports the construction and facilities staff in completing routine projects involving the retrieval of materials to the yard and maintenance of inventory. They also assist Workover consultants with daily needs for tubing and downhole equipment, scan, identify, sort, and catalog NORM impacted material, and assist in routine departmental tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conducting preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
• Organizing and maintaining yard infrastructure
• Ensuring safe access and egress of the yard
• Assisting in routine departmental tasks, prioritizing projects, monitoring costs, implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and providing technical training
• Maintaining inventory and usable material in the yard for future projects
• Supporting in developing and maintaining a plan for organization and maintenance of the yard, including storage tents, pipe racks, dumpsters, and other miscellaneous material
• Recognizing, analyzing, and resolving routine problems, taking corrective action in emergency and non-emergency situations
• Helping ensure safe access and egress of the yard, such as plowing snow and maintaining a level surface in driving lanes
• Possessing the right and obligation to stop work in unsafe conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)
• 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in Yard Management, Pipeline Construction, Facilities Maintenance, and Construction Codes and Standards or a related field
