Yard Operator
About the Role
Ziegler CAT is seeking a full-time Yard Operator to support our customers, service, and sales personnel. We are looking for a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills to help support our growth.
Responsibilities
- Ship, receive, and operate equipment in the yard
- Promptly greet and assist customers in the yard
- Ensure proper documentation of incoming/outgoing equipment
- Maintain a clean and orderly yard
- Assist with shop and facility clean up and maintenance
- Maintain grounds including snow removal
- Monitor and maintain fuel and fluid levels for shops and on branch machinery
- Park equipment in designated areas, according to appearance and guidelines
- Work collaboratively on a team
- Provide assistance to other departments as requested
- Complete responsibilities safely
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3+ years experience required in shop or operating equipment or related duties
- Ability to operate machinery and perform job duties safely
- This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement

Physical Requirements
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
- Lift bulky objects
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation
- Stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat
- Forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling
- Bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box
Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00 per hour. Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education, and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location.
