Yard/Shop Porter

About the role

The Yard/Shop Porter at Yancey Bros. Co. is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in the shops and surrounding areas. This individual will assist the Shop Manager with various tasks such as setting up for meetings and events, running errands, and emptying waste containers.

Responsibilities

• Keep shop area and grounds clean and safe by sweeping, cleaning, and moving discarded materials.
• Use a sweeper machine and broom to clean floors.
• Operate a forklift to move materials.
• Empty waste containers as they fill up.

Qualifications

• Safe operation of a forklift following all safety protocols.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Clean driving record.
• Self-driven and proactive approach to work.
• Attention to detail.
