Yard Manager

About the role

Location: Houston, Texas. Performs duties associated with the day-to-day management of a fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles including related reports, maintenance program and management of daily operations. Responsible for the management of equipment rental agreements and life cycle of company owned equipment to optimize company’s bottom line profitability. Responsibilities

• Coordinates repairs and maintenance to be performed by mechanics and by third party vendors.
• Prioritize requests from the field and assign the most appropriate personnel to the task(s).
• Assists Construction Managers in the negotiation and acquisition of rental equipment.
• Coordinates mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from the job site(s).
• Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures related to equipment.
• Promotes and communicates company commitment to safety by identifying and mitigating task-related safety risks.
• Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Five plus years of experience in fleet management.
