Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Docking and repositioning of trailers.
- Moving semi-trailers within a cargo yard environment.
- Inspecting both tractor and containers to ensure smooth maneuvering of all equipment and product.
- May be asked to use other equipment such as forklift.
- May be asked to assist in manually offloading and loading product or equipment.
- Completing work-related documentation such as bills of lading.
Desired Skills and Experience
- A current valid CDL Class A license which must contain valid Hazardous Materials (H) and Tank Vehicle (N) endorsements.
- Clean and safe driving record in full compliance with all DOT licensing requirements.
- Experience with operating a switcher truck preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.
- Technically inclined skills (preferred but not required): High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds at times as well as bend, climb, reach, & rotate as needed.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential.
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
