Yard Jockey

General Purpose

• Loads and unloads trucks when not moving trailers in and out of docks.
• Must have yard jockey test before operating solo.
• Performing any load status yard checks as required by facility.
• Visually completing safety and road worthiness of trailers on our property.
• Red tag trailers, if needed.
• Must obey all applicable traffic laws and facility procedures.
• Yearly MVR background checks.
• Participating in continuous improvement processes.
• Maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance Inspections.

General Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities

• Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.
• Previous yard jockey experience is a plus.
• Comfortable in working in all weather conditions.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends if needed.
• Available to work loading/unloading trucks in the shipping department when not moving.
• Safe driving record is required.
• Good people skills when communicating with fellow team members and drivers.
• Capability to stand and move frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
• Possess a collaborative, team-driven attitude.
• Quality and precision-driven, and able to follow all quality and safety requirements.
• Customer service mentality and a strong desire to meet daily production goals.
• Show strong reasoning and creative problem-solving skills to overcome production challenges.
• Previous experience in a team environment.
