Responsibilities

• Safely load trucks and hostler trailers
• Work with PLC and controlled equipment
• Handle cleaning chemicals and lift/carry up to 65 lbs
• Perform basic mathematical calculations
• Check and refuel refer units throughout the shift
• Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Work in a fast-paced environment following Good Manufacturing Practices
• Perform duties necessary to support the team
• Maintain documentation associated with operations
• Communicate clearly with incoming drivers from outside suppliers
• Maintain the yard goat during day-to-day functions
• Communicate with team members to ensure efficient plant operations
• Set up oncoming shift for successful run
• Complete hourly trailer checks for fuel, refer faults, ensure refrigerators are running, and rear doors are closed
• Obtain information at pre-shift tailgate meetings and from off-going Line Technician
• Maintain food safety and food quality in the yard area
• Report food safety problems to authorized personnel
• Ensure all programs are upheld and documentation is current
• Perform coverage for Yard Hostler position as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Class A License or current Class A permit
• Excellent troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Computer knowledge
• Ability to work well with people and communicate effectively
• Multi-tasking ability
• Ability to work independently

Schedule

Graveyard shift, 12-hour shifts from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

Pay

Starting pay for candidates based in California is $25.60/hr per the CBA. The pay range for this position is $25.60 - $32 USD, varying based on skills, experience, and location.
