Yard Hostler

About the role

Pathmark Transportation is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Hostler to move and dock trailers safely within the yard and facility area. The position also involves working in the warehouse, helping with the dock and sorting, scanning products.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Yard Hostler or CDL A Vehicle
• Safely docking trailers at facility doors
• Inspecting trailers for defects and reporting issues
• Conducting Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections
• Ensuring adherence to safety procedures and yard operations
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds
• Available to work on the dock when needed
• Sorting and scanning products

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Yard Hostler or operating a CDL A vehicle
• Ability to safely dock trailers at facility doors
• Knowledgeable of Dock and Pull procedures
• Experience inspecting trailers for defects and reporting issues
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and yard operations
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections
• Ability to work on the dock when needed
