Yard Hand

About the role

Maintains upkeep of the yard and equipment to ensure smooth operations of the rental business. Primary objective is to assist and perform yard-related duties to ensure equipment is ready to go out and, as it returns, ready to be checked and serviced.

Responsibilities

• Unloads new, used, and rental machines while maintaining and organizing inventory of equipment.
• Checks in, fuels, operates, and moves equipment in the yard.
• Maintains an orderly yard free of debris, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods and equipment.
• Pressure washes equipment to ensure it is rent-ready.
• Assists with other duties as assigned by management.
• Supports the company with any other items requested related to the equipment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of related experience.
• Previous experience operating a forklift and/or other heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Acute attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and the capability to multitask.
