We are building a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Fairbanks with spacious bays, great lighting, and up-to-date technology. The Anchorage location features a heated and air-conditioned warehouse with a great floorplan, conveniently located right off 4th Street behind Wendy's.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the full-time Yard Hand supports the service team. Leadership at Peterbilt of Alaska is professional, caring, and values safety, vision, and an open-door policy.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and shipments
• Moving equipment and materials in and out of the shop
• Keeping the yard, shop, and parts inventory clean and organized
• Completing local parts runs and deliveries
• Performing general maintenance activities including snow removal, sanding, and cleaning as needed
• Shop cleaning and trailer/truck washes
• Assisting with inventory control
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Great communication and time management skills
• Able to work 40+ hours per week
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

The role requires regular lifting of at least 30 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and pushing. Safety is a priority, and all team members must follow safety policies, complete onboarding safety requirements, and participate in monthly safety training.
