Responsibilities

• Move tractor trailers to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas.
• Transport tractor trailers to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facilities requiring local city driving.
• Fuel, move and park tractors and trailers to the docks and park loaded or empty trailers in designated areas.
• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
• Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately report any and all safety hazards.
• Handle and return all necessary paperwork related to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facility interactions.
• Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
• At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6 months of tractor trailer experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Valid CDL A.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.

Pay

$22.50 per hour plus incentive per trailer move.

Schedule

Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 AM to finish (average 8–10 hours per day).
