Yard Driver

We are seeking a dependable and motivated team member to help keep our operations running smoothly by driving yard trucks, dump trucks, and operating forklifts to move goods and materials across our facility and on premise. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring products, chemicals, and supplies reach the right place at the right time, supporting an efficient and safe production environment.

In this role, you will transport empty and full trailers, operate forklifts to move pallets and materials safely around the yard, inspect equipment (including forklifts and yard trucks) to ensure it’s in top condition, and perform routine maintenance on yard trucks. You may also operate a dump truck during harvest season and perform warehouse duties when needed. Responsibilities

• Transport empty and full trailers within the facility.
• Operate forklifts to move pallets and materials safely around the yard.
• Inspect equipment (including forklifts and yard trucks) to ensure it’s in top condition.
• Perform routine maintenance on yard trucks.
• Operate a dump truck during harvest season.
• Perform warehouse duties when needed.
• Follow established safety procedures and forklift operation protocols.
• Support programs that conserve resources, improve energy efficiency, and promote recycling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• 2 years of previous yard driver/truck driving experience specifically driving and repositioning tractor trailers.
• Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and reliable vehicle (if applicable).
• Must pass a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving.
• Must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire, if needed.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Must comply with company GMP policies.
• Must be able to work any shift as needed, including overtime.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 55 lbs.
• Must pass in-house clamp and forklift skills tests to become a Certified Forklift and Clamp Driver.
• Must be able to re-certify Clamp Driver skills as required.
• Must be physically capable of executing all essential functions of the job.
• Must accept constructive feedback and adjust behavior accordingly.
• Must be able to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of previous yard driver/truck driver experience specifically driving and repositioning tractor trailers.
• Current Forklift or Clamp Certification.
• Experience with computerized Warehouse Management System.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Schedule

2nd Shift, 10 hours, Monday - Thursday. 3:00 pm - 1:30 am

Pay

$24.12 - $32.52 per hour. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position may also be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.

This position is based on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
