Yard Driver

The Yard Driver for our Baltimore, MD facility will be responsible for moving trailers and equipment within a warehouse yard, distribution center, or shipping facility. Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!Competitive pay and benefitsComprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employmentGroup 401K with company matching componentGenerous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursementPositive and safe work environmentsOpportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Trailer, Tanker, and Can(Roll-off) MovementMove loaded and empty trailers, tankers, and cans(roll-off) between docks, staging areas, and yard parking areasPosition equipment at warehouse doors, operating pads, and staging areas for loading/unloadingShuttle equipment between different buildings or staging areasYard OrganizationKeep the yard arranged in an orderly and efficient layoutPlace equipment in assigned spots based on schedules or prioritiesEnsure easy access for incoming and outgoing trucksEquipment OperationOperate yard trucks (spotter trucks/terminal tractors) safelyPerform basic equipment checks before and after useReport mechanical issues or damages immediatelyDock, Tanker, Can (Roll-off) SupportAssist all dock and operating processor workers by delivering trailers, tankers, and cans when neededEnsure trailers, tankers, and cans (roll-off) are properly secured and aligned at the dock, operating pad, and or staging areasCheck that brakes, chocks, and locks are correctly appliedDocumentation & CommunicationTrack equipment locations using yard systems or paperworkCommunicate with department managers, supervisors, leads, warehouse staff, and driversRecord movement logs and equipment statusSafety ComplianceFollow OSHA and company safety rulesDrive at safe speeds within the yardWatch for pedestrians, forklifts, and other hazardsSecure loads and verify trailer condition before movingInspection DutiesInspect trailers, tankers, and cans for damage, leaks, or safety concernsCheck lights, tires, doors, and sealsReport any issues before trailers, tankers, and or cans are loaded or shipped Qualifications What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
