Yard Associate

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker to station and retrieve equipment on the location's property. This role maintains a written maintenance schedule and may service equipment to ensure it meets specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rental to document any lost or damaged items.

The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job.

Responsibilities

• Station and retrieve equipment on the property
• Maintain a written maintenance schedule for equipment
• Service equipment as necessary to meet specifications
• Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document lost or damaged items

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred
• Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral)
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• General mechanical aptitude
• Safety-focused mindset
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date.

Pay

Base pay range: $17.75 - $23.72 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
