Position Summary

The Yard Assistant is responsible for supporting daily yard and shop operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This role includes loading and unloading materials, cleaning equipment and facilities, and assisting with general labor tasks as needed. While driving is not required, it is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard, shop, and surrounding areas
• Perform repairs and basic maintenance on portable toilets, handwashing stations, and other company equipment
• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas
• Wash, sanitize, and prepare portable toilets for deployment according to company standards
• Perform general cleanup duties around the shop and lot, including debris removal and equipment staging
• Assist with periodic washing, detailing, and general cleaning of company trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Support yard staff and field teams by preparing, organizing or locating materials and equipment as requested
• Auxiliary in basic inventory organization, including restocking commonly used items and keeping materials neatly arranged.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Performs all other duties as required

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Good with tools and understanding of repair manuals
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Driving experience is a plus but not required
• Prior yard, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred but not mandatory
