About the role
The Production Supervisor provides senior-level oversight of aircraft maintenance operations in direct support of the 89th Airlift Wing's executive airlift mission.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the Andrews Support Division's and 89th Maintenance Group Commander's focal point for managing and coordinating assigned Boeing and Gulfstream aircraft logistical support programs with appropriate Headquarters, Air Mobility Command, Air Force Material Command, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contractor offices for aircraft used to transport the Vice President of the United States.
- Central liaison between the division and designated Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) organizations on Andrews AFB.
- Coordinates the requisition of Government-furnished items through the appropriate supply system.
- Responsible for managing and supporting applicable Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contracts.
- Synchronize mission requirements with Boeing and Gulfstream program manager long and short-term maintenance action plans to satisfy contract requirements governed by Executive Airlift Performance Work Statement Yankee White standards (Technical Exhibit 4).
- Attends logistics planning meetings to develop strategies to plan for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Assures integrated logistics and maintenance plan effectively supports the fleet for these specific missions.
- Will closely monitor the requisition of Government-furnished items through the appropriate supply systems.
- Oversees aircraft configuration and availability according to contractual standards.
- Will work with customers and internal sections to coordinate workloads and resources to meet demand.
- Acts as the primary liaison between special mission YW assigned aircraft, production supervisors, assigned workers, and DOM to synchronize aircraft configuration needs and deliverables.
- Nominalizes the program manpower inputs and expenditures to balance financial requirements.
- Will ensure aircraft interiors are meticulously cleaned, blemish-free, sanitized, and fully functional.
- Guarantees the integrity of all YW program data, including maintenance and aircraft status information entered into aircraft forms, Integrated Maintenance Data System, and MOC status tracking.
- Prepares and delivers periodic and ad-hoc reports on program statuses and will provide leadership with any research, integration, and response to official reports and inquiries.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
- Must be able to obtain & maintain a flightline driver's license.
- Must be able to manage and integrate a diversity of programs under pressure and effectively coordinate complex issues to resolve aircraft maintenance discrepancies in a time-sensitive environment.
- Will be proficient in Microsoft Suite programs.
- Capable of initiating, developing, and maintaining logistical support documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant certificate and minimum of 5 years of experience on 89th Airlift Wing or similar-type aircraft.
- Thorough understanding of aircraft requirements, including Analysis and Integration and Integrated Process Team concepts.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $122K to $130K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
