Description

Position Summary: As a Marine Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Yamaha outboard engines and related systems. The ideal candidate will have Yamaha certification, a solid understanding of 12V marine systems, and experience with rigging and diagnostics. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and values continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Yamaha outboard engines (Mercury experience is a plus)
• Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and inspections
• Mount and rig outboards on new and used boats across all major brands
• Install and service 12V electrical systems and accessories
• Use Yamaha diagnostic software and tools efficiently
• Install and repair hydraulic steering systems
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials used
• Provide accurate labor/time estimates for repair jobs
• Water test and inspect boats to verify performance and repairs
• Stay up to date with factory training and certifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Interact professionally with customers and team members
