Marine Mechanic

About the role

Munson Boats is seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team in Burlington, WA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in marine mechanical work, including engine repair, electrical systems, and hull maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all marine equipment, including engines, generators, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine inspections and repairs on boats to ensure they are safe and seaworthy.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues using technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Work closely with other crew members to ensure smooth operation of the vessels.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate boats safely.
• At least 5 years of experience in marine mechanical work.
• Proficiency in engine repair, electrical systems, and hull maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid certification in marine mechanical work preferred.

Skills

• Proficient in marine mechanical tools and equipment.
• Knowledgeable in marine electrical systems and wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
