Yale School of Music in New Haven, CT, is seeking its next Managing Director.

About the role

This role functions as a strategic partnership with the Dean of the Yale School of Music. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse administrative units to meet organizational goals, inspire and motivate teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, possess a keen understanding of financial management, and be skilled at solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals and work assignments for managerial and professional staff
• Direct resources to ensure organizational success
• Write policy and subsets of policy for the department
• Generate short- and long-term strategies for resource allocation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• At least three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Seven or more years of experience in a related field
• Degree in music

Pay

Compensation for this full-time position ranges from $100,400 to $163,100 per year.
