Responsibilities

• Extends the Healing Ministry of Christ by performing radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.
• Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma
• Previous Radiologic Technologist experience (preferred)
• One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers
• Knowledgeable in analysis and assessment of data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control
• Knowledgeable in patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility
• Able to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
• Able to read, write and speak conversational English
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Able to independently perform radiographic procedures to departmental standards
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions effectively
• Able to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc.
• Able to maintain responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging
• Able to maintain all required continuing and annual education
• Able to determine appropriate technical factors
• Able to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
• Able to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
• Able to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail
• Able to determine appropriate technical factors

• Able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy
