X-Ray Technologist
About the role
Opened in 2005, our facility has 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms, and is conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area. We specialize in Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry, and Bariatric surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International, we are Joint Commission Accredited.
The OR X-Ray Radiology Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during procedures such as myelogram, arthrogram, aspiration, and steroid injection exams. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the ED and the In-Patient areas and any walk-in, routine X-rays ordered. Our Imaging department is a fast-paced area, and the technologist must be flexible to move between multiple exams, areas, and be able to manage their time effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Must possess strong patient satisfaction skills
- Must possess independent decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple patients
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and their family
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way
- Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- AART Registered in Radiology
- Experience with the following equipment is desired: C-arm (large and mini), O-arm, Portable Digital Equipment
- BLS current
- Must have a current Texas state license to the Texas Medical Board
- 3 years of hospital experience preferred
- Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations
