X-Ray Technician - Per Diem

About the Role

Performs radiographic examinations following departmental protocols, including interventional, operating room, cystoscopy, and portable procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient positioning, education, and ensures high-quality diagnostic images.
• Employs radiation protection measures and evaluates radiographs for acceptability.
• Transmits images to PACS and radiology information systems.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness, manages supplies, and records patient data accurately.
• Supports physicians, supervises students, and performs clerical duties when needed.
• Adheres to infection control policies and reports equipment issues.
• Participates in professional development and maintains licensure.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Licensed by the relevant state health department or holds a valid temporary permit.
• No prior experience required.

Skills

• Strong technical judgment and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of radiation safety.
