X-Ray Technician - Medical Assistant
Job Summary

Qualifications
- Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKG’s, and administer IM injections.
- Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
- Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
- Absorb splints, dressings, and bandages.
- Absorb check-in/check-out duties when needed, including chart auditing.
- Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent to other labs.
- Inform patients and visitors of clinic progress.
Requirements
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
- Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
- An Unlicensed Radiology Technician for Kansas registration, General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license is required in the state of residency.
- A current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
- A current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
- A Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment or promotion.
