X-Ray Tech / Medical Assistant

Job Summary

InnovaCare Management Services Company, LLC is seeking an individual to perform routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures under the direction of a physician or APP. The position requires independent judgment and ingenuity in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Cross-training and floating to meet facility needs are also expected.

MA / Xray Tech Duties

• Operate and adjust imaging equipment
• Explain procedures to patients
• Position patients and equipment
• Maintain exam rooms by stocking with necessary supplies
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions to supervisor or service provider
• Train in Basic Administration of Therapies (BAT) and Urine Drug Screening
• Prepare patients for examination
• Auxiliary in physician exams
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform basic laboratory tests
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician
• Transmit prescription refills as directed
• Draw blood (training provided)
• Take electrocardiograms
• Remove sutures and change dressings
• Administer Tuberculin (TB) skin tests

Qualifications

• Current Florida State License
• Two years of experience required
