Summary This role involves performing diagnostic X-ray (XR) and computed tomography (CT) procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician to aid in patient diagnosis across all ages. Key responsibilities include operating various imaging equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining image quality through proper positioning and technical factors. Performing all types of XR procedures, including fluoroscopy and portable imaging.Conducting CT studies, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, while practicing safety protocols.Using sterile techniques when required and managing patient care with confidentiality.Utilizing department systems such as PACS for documentation and review.Handling venipuncture, coordinating exams, and communicating effectively with medical staff, patients, and families.Maintaining equipment, supplies, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.Responding to on-call duties, assisting with departmental education, and future planning.Accessing and administering drugs as per hospital procedures. Qualifications include current ARRT certification, Nebraska Medical Radiographer license, BLS certification, and proficiency in equipment operation, positioning, radiation safety, and effective communication. The role requires critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to safety, and the ability to care for diverse patient populations.
