About the role
Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician in Lexington Park, Maryland. This position is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance and reports directly to the Community Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform general apartment maintenance tasks including appliance repairs, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drywall, and painting
- Assist with unit turnovers
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
- Understand and oversee work performed by contractors
Requirements
- 2+ years of prior apartment maintenance experience
- Experience with appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting
- HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
- Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation

Pay
