Writing Program Adjunct Faculty

About the role

The Department of Rhetoric and Communication Studies at The University of La Verne invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach first-year writing courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person courses on the main campus of The University of La Verne.
• Teach online courses as needed.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college or university level.
• Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
• Experience teaching in asynchronous online, hybrid, and remote, synchronous online learning formats preferred.

• Strong teaching skills demonstrated through evidence.
