Writer, Content Marketing

Overview

We're seeking a skilled writer to develop data-backed theses and original content pieces around emerging technologies and market trends. This role involves collaborating with contributors across product marketing, product, engineering, and demand generation teams to produce engaging and informative content.

Responsibilities

• Own 3–4 focus areas across industries, emerging technologies, and Stripe product pillars, ensuring alignment with the latest news and product enhancements
• Coordinate with the demand generation team to identify opportunities for new editorial series and research agendas
• Pioneer new content formats for Stripe, including short-form content and multimedia projects that grow our audience
• Partner with the data science team and third-party agencies to surface relevant insights for existing and potential customers
• Ensure consistency and tone in messaging across Stripe channels, including blogs, guides, reports, and social-native content
• Manage a pipeline of content, maintaining clear communication and visibility across the organization

Requirements

• A strong writer with 7+ years of experience in journalism, content marketing, or related fields, ideally with a focus on fintech or B2B technology
• An analytical thinker capable of deriving original insights from data and market signals
• Skilled at combining various requests and feedback into a unified message
• A high-quality bar for differentiated content
• Passionate about technology and eager to understand its workings
• Discerning and constructive when giving edits
• Enthusiastic about developing new ways to engage and inform audiences
• Data-driven when making decisions and assessing impact
• Detail-oriented and consistent in your work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, crypto, and fintech
• Proven track record of creating compelling content for tech and finance audiences

• Experience with content marketing platforms and SEO best practices

• Competitive compensation package, including base salary ranging from $145,000 to $217,600 annually, depending on experience and location
