About the role
Position for Wrestling, Head Coach/Girls at Barron Collier High School. Season-based role with a salary grade of SUAG2 and 1.00 FTE.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
- 1 Reference Letter (does not apply to current CCPS staff)
- Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required (coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification)
- Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED)
Certification details
The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:
- 3-Year Temporary Certificate - Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.
- 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate
Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate need athletic coaching certification. Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator's Certification also need it.
