About the role
The position involves providing specialized nursing care focused on wound, ostomy, and continence management in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs
- Implement care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide care for patients of all ages
- Maintain infection control protocols and proper PPE usage
- Travel between facilities as required
- Perform duties requiring mobility, standing, bending, and lifting
- Handle sensitive patient information with the highest level of confidentiality
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- CPR certification
- WOCNCB certification or CWOCN preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care
- Completion of an accredited WOCN program within 1 year
- Preferred: prior WOCNEP completion and 6 years of acute care nursing experience
