About the role
As a Wound Nurse (RN), you will oversee the community’s skin-management program, deliver safe and effective treatment for various wounds—including surgical sites, ulcers, pressure injuries, feeding-tube sites, and abscesses—and assess wounds, design and implement treatment plans, monitor for infection, and perform wound care.
Responsibilities
- Assess wounds and create individualized treatment plans
- Monitor wounds for signs of infection
- Clean and dress wounds
- Deliver safe, efficient, and evidence-based wound care
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum one year of specialized wound-care experience in a long-term-care, skilled-nursing, assisted-living, or memory-care setting
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
