Wound Care RN

About the role

We provide skilled nursing care to people recently discharged from the hospital, needing therapy, and to those needing long-term care. This is a full-time, day-shift position for a Registered Nurse specializing in wound care, with long-term care experience required and wound care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and continually updating individual care plans for wound management.
• Complete regular wound assessments and document changes.
• Handle necessary changes for wound care, physicians' orders, and collaborate with care providers and families.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and company health/safety regulations, including staff education requirements.
• Audit documentation and care for quality control and compliance.
• Communicate changes in wound presentation to families and providers, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide ongoing training, orientation, and in-service education for clinical skills, safety protocols, and best practices; observe competency.

Requirements

• Licensed to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland.
• Able to pass a background check, drug screen, professional references check, and physical evaluation.
• High level of leadership, customer service, and clinical competency.
• Experience in wound care management and staff education.
• Experience in clinical leadership.
