Wound Care Physician

About the role

Part-time wound care physician position in Waterbury, CT with a national wound physician group offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
• Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound specific EMR

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full time role: 4 - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm)
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities in a 40 – 60 mile radius of practice location

Training

• Physician level wound management training provided
• Wound fellowship program for clinical excellence
• Paid training during onboarding plus 6-month wound care fellowship

Compensation

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship available)
