Worship Leader, Part Time - Wilmington or Watertown

About the role

This part-time Worship Leader role is an on-site position located in Watertown, MA.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead worship services, selecting music that aligns with Grace Chapel’s mission and theology, and fostering an engaging, reverent worship environment.
• Cook up with pastors and ministry staff.
• Rehearse with musicians and vocalists.
• Ensure smooth transitions and flow during services.
• Prepare worship sets, arrange or adapt songs as needed.
• Support volunteer teams.
• Contribute to the spiritual and artistic development of the worship ministry.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead Worship Music with theological sensitivity and stylistic versatility, guiding the congregation in meaningful, Christ-centered worship.
• Strong Music skills, including proficiency in arranging and directing, with an understanding of contemporary and traditional worship styles.
• Competence in Piano or another accompanying instrument to support congregational singing and team rehearsals.
• Vocal ability in Singing, with confidence in leading congregational worship and collaborating with other vocalists.
• Research skills to explore new worship songs, liturgical resources, and creative elements that align with the church’s mission and values.
• Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and character, consistent with Grace Chapel’s beliefs and mission.
• Experience leading worship in a church or ministry setting, ideally within a multicultural or multi-site environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and diverse congregants.
• Organizational skills to plan services.
