Worship Leader/Music Director

Southside Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN, is seeking a part-time Worship Leader and/or Music Director to join our growing congregation. Our music style is blended, and we seek someone to lead our church in worship and music.

Responsibilities

• Planning and leading Sunday morning worship services.
• Coordinating and leading any necessary rehearsals for these services.
• Selecting and arranging music that aligns with the church’s mission and values.
• Collaborating with the Pastor and other church leaders to create a cohesive worship experience.
• Planning and conducting special music events and services, such as Christmas and Easter celebrations.
• Working under the supervision of the Pastor and the Deacon body.
• Serving as a spiritual leader for the worship team and the congregation.

Qualifications

• Devout Christian and active member of a Baptist church.
• Prior experience in leading worship and music ministry.
• Proficiency in playing a musical instrument is preferred.
• Strong vocal and musical skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Dedication to leading others in worship and a desire to grow in Christ.
