Worship and Adult Ministry Director

Status: Full-time, salaried position reporting to the Executive Pastor of Ministries. Hours: 40 hours per week, with responsibilities that may require additional time.

About the Role

The Worship & Adult Ministry Director (WAMD) is responsible for developing and implementing a worship ministry for Fredonia Hill Baptist Church (FHBC) and helping other ministries incorporate worship into their areas. The WAMD will also develop and implement adult ministry programs aligned with the vision, strategy, and values of FHBC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all music ministry at FHBC (children, youth, college, adults, etc.).
• Collaboratively plan, evaluate, and execute worship services, including:
  • Designing and leading worship services.
  • Recruiting, training, and developing worship team members.
  • Constructing and managing the worship ministry budget.
  • Supervising the worship ministry and its ancillary components.
• Oversee the audio/visual (A/V) aspects of worship, including:
  • Recruiting and training media technicians (sound, video).
  • Troubleshooting A/V issues and providing solutions.
  • Scheduling A/V personnel for special events.
• Lead the Sunday School ministry by:
  • Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer leaders.
  • Implementing curriculum and establishing regular communication.
  • Providing guidance to classes for their success.
• Lead adult community groups by:
  • Encouraging and assisting adults in joining community groups.
  • Implementing the on-ramp process for new groups.
  • Checking in with ongoing groups and creating new ones.
  • Resourcing groups with materials.
• Assist in adult education by:
  • Supporting the Executive Pastor of Ministries in developing and facilitating adult education opportunities, including Wednesday night services, conferences, and retreats.
• Provide support in group-specific adult areas, including:
  • Assisting with recovery programs.
  • Curating ministry for legacy members (55+).
  • Collaborating with staff to create unique experiences for men and women.

The worship style at Fredonia Hill is modern and contemporary, led by a worship band without a choir or orchestra.
