About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the Peer Coach/Mentor work study position. This role involves serving as study leaders, sharing effective learning and study strategies with assigned students, and helping to clarify and reinforce course content, assignments, and material, with a commitment of up to 20 hours per week. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in office software, and a passion for supporting fellow students. Responsibilities
- Serve as study leaders, sharing effective learning and study strategies with assigned students
- Help clarify and reinforce course content, assignments, and material
- Support students in navigating course material and academic challenges
- Provide guidance and support in developing study habits and time management skills
Requirements
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Be in good academic standing and have no disciplinary actions on record
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Show genuine interest in helping other students succeed academically, socially, and personally
- Balance academic responsibilities with the time commitment required for mentoring
- Familiarity with college resources, services, and programs available to students
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism, including punctuality, responsibility, and ethical behavior
- Have previous experience in mentoring, tutoring, or coaching (optional)
