What You’ll Do At DBH Conduct vocational screenings, interviews, and assessments.Develop individualized vocational plans and teach transferable job skills, including preparing clients to seek employment after discharge.Coordinate and monitor client participation in Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare Vocational Services “Work Program.”Document client progress and write routine progress notes.Support therapeutic activities and maintain attendance records.Escort clients to on‑ and off‑unit programs as needed.Serve on hospital committees and perform miscellaneous duties to support an integrated psychosocial rehabilitation approach.Perform other duties as assigned. This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 10 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. This position is located within our Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare location, located at 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, OH 43614. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter. Position Qualifications 30 mos. exp. counseling persons who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled or other disadvantaged group of people. OR Completion of undergraduate core program in human services area (e.g., rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, occupational therapy) & 12 mos. exp. counseling persons who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled or other disadvantaged group of people. OR Completion of graduate core program in human services area (e.g., rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, occupational therapy). OR Alternative, equivalent evidence of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
