Workshop Program Evaluator (PN: 20047003)

Responsibilities

• Conduct vocational screenings, interviews, and assessments.
• Develop individualized vocational plans and teach transferable job skills, including preparing clients to seek employment after discharge.
• Coordinate and monitor client participation in Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare Vocational Services “Work Program.”
• Document client progress and write routine progress notes.
• Support therapeutic activities and maintain attendance records.
• Escort clients to on‑ and off‑unit programs as needed.
• Serve on hospital committees and perform miscellaneous duties to support an integrated psychosocial rehabilitation approach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

One of the following qualifications is required:

• 30 months experience counseling persons who are mentally ill, developmentally disabled, or other disadvantaged groups.
• Completion of an undergraduate core program in a human services area (e.g., rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, occupational therapy) + 12 months experience counseling persons who are mentally ill, developmentally disabled, or other disadvantaged groups.
• Completion of a graduate core program in a human services area (e.g., rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, occupational therapy).
• Alternative, equivalent evidence of the minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Education

Official transcripts are required for all post‑secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application. The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health reserves the right to evaluate the academic validity of the degree‑granting institution.

Pay

This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit. Compensation is $27.48 per hour, starting at Step 1 of the union pay‑range schedule, with an opportunity for a pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and annual raises thereafter.

Schedule

Full‑time. Normal working hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
